スターバックスの一号店、実はシアトルにあるのご存知でした？
スタバファンというか、ネットがつながるという理由で相当お世話になっている。
世界中にあのロゴマークをとどろかせているスタバの一号店はこんな雰囲気でした。
普段はベテラン風なサンフランシスコの友達も旅行者のようになっていたところがおもしろかった。w

Did you know that Starbucks were born in Seattle? I appreciate Starbucks a lot because of the wifi:) (I like their Chai tea though:) I was very impressed at the first one, very casual small cafe. I can't believe the company has been growing so fast!! Cool... and Schlomo, my video friend looked like a tourist, which was kinda funny:)

Gnomedexというテック系イベントに行って来ました！
場所はシアトル！（イチロー観戦に行ったわけではございません。笑）
インフルエンサーが集まるこのイベントは今年で７回目！さすがに
内容も濃かったなぁ。最先端の情報はもちろんだけど、アットホームな
雰囲気もこのイベントの魅力だったと思います！

I attended this tech event,
Gnomedex in Seattle!
I wish I could watch Ichiro, a famous Japanese baseball player of Seattle Mariners:)
But the best thing about this event was the latest ideas about tech and the friendly
atomospher! I'm looking forward to attending next year.

I attended BlogHer, the conference for women bloggers in Chicago! It was really interesting because it was unique! As you know, speakers at most IT events are all guys, but BlogHer has only women speakers! I met so many interesting and inspiring bloggers here. I was actually a speaker as an audio expert for podcasting this time....I hope I could help people to start podcasting!

シリコンバレー周辺でのイベント情報や話題の人物、サービス情報をおとどけするバブリシャスというサイトがあります！そこにザクティイベントの様子を掲載していただきました（パチパチ！）彼らはJustinTVに続いてカメラをつけてライブしたりもしてます。クリエーティブなことが好きな人たちです。

Thank you, bubblicious!! I appreciate people there are very creative as some of them have started lifecast like JustinTV:) Bubblicious is a website which focuses on social events, hot news, interesting web service, etc in Silicon Valley.

サンノゼでウェブビデオサミットが開催されたので行って来たよ。おなじみの人たちにも会ったけど、詳しい話がきけてよかった！ビデオを始める動機は様々だけど、要は続けることが大事よね＾＾
I attended Web Video Summit in San Jose on June 27th and 28th.
Any trigger is good to start video, but the important thing is to continue, I think.
I'm glad to hear my video friends' interesting stories!

Organic invited Zooomr and me to join their workshop for thier programers and creative people.
I had already interviewed Kristopher, CTO of Zooomr, but it was very interesting to share
what they do with Organic people. I had a great time sharing thoughts about Web2.0 things!
After that, we joined "Photo Walking" in Haight Ashbury. I thought seeing in person was such a great way to communicate even in Web2.0 era:)

オーガニックという広告、PRの会社がサンフランシスコにあるのだけど、その勉強会にZooomrの２人と一緒に招待されたので行って来たよ！クリストファーにはすでに前回インタビューしていたけれど、改めて話を聞くのは面白かった！オーガニックのオフィスはおしゃれだし、人も好奇心旺盛で素敵だったなぁ。
その後フォトウォーキングといって写真大好き人間が集まる会にもいきおいで参加。ウェブと言っても、ひとありき。オフ会の魅力を再認識しました！

サンフランシスコは寒いけど熱い（笑）！野外でムービー鑑賞会。まさか海の横でこんなに人が集まるとは。。。おなじみのメンバーも集まった。防水カメラのザクティを持っていたけれど、さすがに海には入れません（寒い）。Metacafeの帽子ももらってうれしかったからインタビューしてみました。動画サービスもいろいろあるのよね。

It is a bit cold in San Francisco, but video people are HOT:)!! I had no idea of seeing movies right beside the water(ocean)! I met some friends whom I've seen around there. I had my waterproof Xacti with me, but I didn't feel like trying in the water since it was freeeeezing:)
I interviewed Allyson, metacafe, cool video entertainment site. I hope I can make some money from my shows:)!!

Zooomr is just picked up as the best Wb2.0 sites and services by CNET! I interviewed Kristopher, CTO of Zooomr. This is such a cool site that you will feel like traveling the world!
He lives at a place with a pool, so I tried my waterproof Xacti, too:)

シリコンバレーの日本起業家を支援するという「シリコンバレージャパニーズアントレプレナーネットワーク」の５周年記念パーティーが６月１４日、パロアルトにて開催されました。ゲストスピーカーのお話、食事、途中にビンゴゲームがあったりと盛りだくさんなイベントでした。パロアルト市長の岸本さんにもアポなし（笑）突撃インタビューに成功。
これからも人と繋がっていいネットワークを広げていきたいなぁと改めて思ったのでした。

I attended "Silicon Valley Japanese Entrepreneur Network Party" on June 14th 2007!
We had guest speakers, good food (of course, Sushi!:), games with prizes (Nintendo Wii,
iPods, etc. I enjoyed filming so much that I couldn't pay attention to the game:)
I interviewed Palo Alto Mayor, Mrs. Kishimoto. I didn't know that the mayor was a Japanese woman. I hope this kind of events will help Japanese people to develop their networking!

アップルストアではワークショップ型だったけど、せっかく人が集まったら
パーティはお決まりよね、ということで「ザクティナイト」と題して近くの
レストランで交流会をしました！東京の六本木であったような新作発表会
を参考に、水槽も用意してみた。金魚はさすがに手に入らないからおもちゃクラゲ
が大活躍！ザクティ初めてな人もそうでない人も、共通の関心事で人が集まって
何かするっていうのはすごい面白いなぁって改めて思ったのでした。
エディーの浴衣も似合っていた。笑

We had a party, "Xacti Night" after the workshop at Apple Store San Francisco.
We prepared a big fishbowl. (I got the idea from the press event to introduce
E1(the waterproof one) in Tokyo) I thought it would be challenging to
have golden fish for the demo. Instead, we had a toy jellyfish which actually
reacts lights, which was very interesting! I thought throwing events are so much
fun and interesting since people who have similar goals or interests get
together, which will create something new! (Like Eddie's Yukata;)

We had workshop, "Let's Enjoy VIdeo Sharing with Xacti" at Apple Store San Francisco on June 13th! Thank you so much for attending!
We introduced the latest Xacti, the first waterproof one, Alligator, software which is one of
our solution for Xacti 2.0 project, and we also had special shows from Jay, Ryanne, and
Irina, video bloggers based in San Francisco! We had a great time asking questions to people from Sanyo! I hope everyone got something new! Thank you for the pics, too! I love photography as well as movies:)!!

スコットはAppleのiTunesポッドキャスティングを盛り上げている。そりゃ息子も娘も
ポッドキャスターでしょ、ということで勝手に仕立てた。笑
アメリカのお家って雰囲気がよかったなぁ。スコット曰く１９７０年代らしいけど。笑

I and my boss enjoyed having dinner at his places with good food and drink!

Googleのお友達を訪ねて本社へ行って来ました！こりゃーすごい。なんせグーグルバスやらグーグル自転車やらいろいろある！そして狙いのカフェも外部の人も無料で食べられるから驚き！何から何まですごいと思った。。。さすがはグーグル社員は満足度高いだろうなと、その企業の力の源を感じて来たのでありました！

I visited my friend at Google. It was so much fun. I was surprised at Google buses, bicycles, ice cream, etc! I enjoyed Google Cafe, too! I understand why google people can work happily because of this philosophy...full of love!!

I ran across Amanda Congdon at SXSW in Austin, Texas! She loves Tokyo fashion, and I hope she's coming to Japan anytime soon! I had been having a great time with meeting new people like her, attending many discussion, and having fun parties outside until late!

I happened to find Fancy Food Show at Moscone Center. Since I'm interested in food business, I went in to meet some companies from Japan. Having exhibition is so much fun, but you need lots of energy, but don't worry because you can find many good foods at the food show!! I wish I could have such a cool event everyday!!
This time, I visited Kawasho foods and ITO EN, tea company from Japan!

大阪心斎橋アップルストア？を思いださせてくれるpodcastermeetupがMacWorld開催中、アップルストアにて行われました！大勢の人がこれだけ集まるってすごいなと思いました！熱いって素敵ーー！それと、ポッドキャスティングってなだけでみんなやたらと初対面からフレンドリーになるのは、日本もアメリカも変わらないのが面白い！

Podcasters got together at Apple Store in San Francisco during Macworld2007! The event reminds me of the one that was held in Osaka last summer. I like this kind of event because I can feel passion from the people! It's one of the wonderful things that people become so friendly if they say, "I'm a podcaster!" The same in Japan.

Schlomoは、ちまたでは有名なビデオブロガー！今日は彼が経営しているバーに行ってみたよ。もちろん店内撮影自由！笑 "The House of Shields" はサンフランシスコ市内の39 New Montgomeryってとこにあります。
そういえば、昨年６月に行われたvideo bloggerが集まるvloggercon(ブロガーコン)の
ニュースに出てるのを発見。今年も開催されるのかしら？？
個人メディアの勢いを感じるイベントですね！

ネオワールドにてお世話になっているCreative Commonsさんを訪問しました！
実は１２月に４周年パーティーがあったので、neo-worldのCDつながりで顔を出したのがきっかけ！パーティー主催をしていたJonさんを訪ねました。おちゃめなJonさんとおしゃれなオフィスに感動しまくりなのでした。。。
そうそう、Creative CommonsさんのHPに実は、neo-worldを掲載していただきました！

I visited Creative Commons in San Francisco. Neo-world, the project to think of next generation by podcasting, is supported by Creative Commons. (Those songs are lisenced under Creative Commons). I visited Jon, a party organizer of Creative Commons 4th anniversary in Dec.
He was such a fun person, and I was impressed at the cool office!

MacWorld2007 has begun!! I've been working on setting up our booth. This is just before the beginning. Hope to report the excitement of the big event from San Francisco!

調べてみるといろいろ出てきますねぇ。それにしてもケータイ関連の広告が多いこと！
日本も同じですが、競争が激しいようです。注意されるの覚悟で突撃。笑　でも捕まらないように気をつけます！

I've got a new cell phone, and I've got more interested in mobile phones in the US.
I felt like nocking doors, every small retailers in the town(seriously)!
It's like business adventure to figure out the difference between mobile market
in the US and that in Japan.

Tmobileをの小売店に突撃！カメラを持つと強気になれる私でありました。。。ザクティ小さいおかげでやりやすいです。こんな調子でやりすぎて、ブラックリストに載らないように気をつけます。w

I tried several retailers for cell phones in the town, San Francisco. With my baby, Xacti, I can become more brave:) I'll try not to be too much because I don't wanna be on the black lists! (joking).

Cupertinoにあるapple本社に行ってきました！
おお、これがあのipodやmacbookの発祥の地かぁなんて感動しちゃいました。。。
社員食堂も大きくて毎日食べてもあきないだろうなーなんて思った（やっぱり
りんごはおいしいのだろーか？笑）

We visited Apple, inc in Cupertino! I was glad to have a look at the birth place of ipods and
macbooks! We also enjoyed lunch at a cafeteria inside the building!
I should have tried their apple(real one) if it tastes really special!

ポッドキャストの情報サイトのpodcastingnews.comにアリゲーターという独自のポッドキャスティング用ソフトウェアが紹介されちゃいました！うれしいわぁ♪ありがとうございますー！
ちなみに今回、はじめてmooom.jpという動画投稿サイトを使ってみました。
ケータイで再生してみたら、結構きれいに見えて、おおすごい。
ケータイ大国日本は、youtubeとはまた違う楽しみがあるかも！

Our aggregation software for podcasting, Alligator, is added to Podcastingnews.com, one of the biggest podcasting news site in the US! Thank you!
I was so happy that I made a short movie for the site and the software, and
uploaded the video to mooom.jp. It's actually interesting service because you can download the episodes to your cell phone. It's not as big as Youtube, but people in Japan may like it a lot better than in the US.

「geekentertainmentTV」のプロデューサー（企画、カメラワーク、編集）をしている友達のエディーにインタビューしてみました！実はこの場所、Hatfactoryといって、Tech系の人たちがいっぱい集まって仕事する場所なのです。クリエーター系でかっこいいです。

クリスマス用に特別番組が。これ、Justin Timberlakeのパロディみたいだけど
すごい手がこんでます。。。。絶賛されてるのも納得。

I went to BestBuy in the town to get Zune.
I wanted to purchase ipods in private, but I needed to get one to experiment.
I picked a white one, and it may look like ipod?? (Nhaaat! kidding.)

Speaking of microsoft, a friend of mine told me banned xbox commercials.
They are hilarious, but a little bit scary.
I think it very clever way for advertising if they make the commercials
which would be banned on purpose because it doesn't cost to broadcast on TV
any longer. I could feel "buzz marketing" even though I got to know this fact
from chatting with the friend, not by reading a blog or receiving emails.

ベストバイって言うヨドバシとかビックカメラ風な家電良品店に行って噂の
ズーンを買ってみた！iPodが欲しかったからせめて白を選んだけど、
中身はいかに？？ポッドキャストは対応しているとのことなので試してみよー！

そうそう、microsoftと言えば、アメリカのテレビでこんなCMがあったのだけど
禁止されたらしい。理由は公序良俗、倫理に反するとか？でもある人は
バイラルマーケティング的にわざとやった？みたいな噂もちらほら。
確かに禁止されたら逆に見たくなるし、テレビ広告代は払わなくっていいからね。
（制作料はかかったろうけれど。。。）ちなみにこれがそのCMです。強烈。。。
